This website was created for the 808 Technology and Literacy class in the PhD in Composition and TESOL programa at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. We are interestesd in investigating what literacy is and what technology is in the first place. Their relation is built upon educational, social, and political grounds that affect the way we write and read the world. If you are interested in this relation and in discussion matters in this regard, please, feel free to read this website and comment on anything you find interesting.

What makes the IUP experience stand out is this: At mega-universities, students might catch a glimpse of the professor; too busy doing research to be in the classroom, he or she passes the class off to the graduate assistant. Not at IUP, where the professors who conduct the important research also teach the classes. Often, those same faculty members will share research opportunities with graduate and undergraduate students, alike.
